General terms and conditions of av edition GmbH


Sect. 1   Scope of validity, customer information

 The following general terms and conditions (GTC) govern the contractual relationship between av edition GmbH and consumers and entrepreneurs who purchase goods in our shop or Conditions that oppose or differ from our terms and conditions are not accepted by us. The contract language is German.


Sect.  2 Order

You have the possibility to browse through our offering. If you find something that interests you, place the product in your virtual shopping cart by clicking on the small shopping cart symbol that appears on the product. You can, of course, remove it again from your shopping cart at any time.

The order process is triggered when you click on the “shopping card” button. You will now see the products which you have added to the shopping cart. At this point, you can remove products from the shopping cart again. To continue the order process, press the “Proceed to checkout” button. Here you will be asked to log in with your user data or as new customer to to set up a user account or to process the order as a guest without registering.

Before sending off your order by clicking the button “Buy now”, you have the possibility at this stage of the order process to correct your order by clicking the “Edit” button.

Clicking the “Buy now” button triggers your order which is passed on to us. By placing an order you have made a firm commitment to purchase the goods.


Sect. 3   Conclusion of contract

(1) The offers on the internet represent a non-binding invitation to you to purchase goods.

(2) You can add one or more products into the shopping cart. In the course of the order process you enter your data and desires concerning payment method, delivery modalities etc. Once you have entered your information and clicked the order button, you submit a binding offer to conclude a purchase contract. You can also submit a binding order by telephone or by fax.

(3) With the immediate submission of confirmation of receipt by e-mail or by fax the offer will also simultaneously be deemed accepted and the sales contract concluded. In the case of a telephone order, the purchase contract is deemed valid if we accept your offer immediately. If the offer is not accepted immediately, then you are no longer bound to it. The goods are shipped by Stuttgarter Verlagskontor SVK GmbH.

Sect. 4   Subject to availability

We reserve the right not to execute your order if we do not have the title you have ordered in stock, the out-of-stock title is out of print at the publishers and the goods ordered are thus not available. In this case, we will inform you without delay that the item is not available and immediately refund any purchase price you have already paid.


Sect. 5   Customer information: Storage of the contractual text

Your order with details of the contract concluded (e.g. type of product, price, etc.) will be stored by us. We will send the GTC to you, but you can also access the GTC at any time via our website. As registered customer you can access your passed orders over via the customer login area:  customer account.


Sect. 6  Customer information: Correction note

You can amend your entries at any time before submitting the order by using the delete key. We will keep you informed throughout the checkout process of further correction options. You can terminate the order process also at any time by closing of the browser window completely.


Sect. 7   Retention of title

 The purchase item remains our property until full payment is made.


Sect. 8   The warranty

 The warranty complies with the statutory provisions.


Sect. 9   Applicable law and court of competent jurisdiction


The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Sales Convention. If the Purchaser is a businessman or legal entity under public law, the exclusive court of competent jurisdiction for all disputes arising from the contract is the court responsible for our registered offices in Stuttgart.


Sect. 10 Shipping costs

We do not charge any shipping rate for deliveries within Germany. For deliveries within the EU and to Switzerland we charge a shipping rate of EUR 9.50. For overseas deliveries, our dispatch department selects the most favourable method of dispatch for you.


Sect. 11 Payment

The purchase price is due and payable without deduction within 14 days of invoicing. Bank transfers are made to account of:
